Compulsed by it begging for its domination
You are obsessed by its control and what it does
Abandoning resistance you pursue it and
Desiring it decays unstable you yielding
Satanic isotopes whose stubborn properties
Still combine with Ate's devastating hot traits
Invaginated deep within your persona
There inside yourself in your alpha-subalpha
Coded in convoluted strands of DNA
You search through its variable parameters
For molecules soliciting eccentric feels
Flying between highs and lows of + and -
Pixelizing countervailing gray matter of
Forbidden wants strung out across hydrogen bonds
Of mirror molecules contrasting wants and shame
Your shameful acts disgrace you in front of yourself
Your mortified ego submits to baseness as
Your prodigal self abuser is programming
For the hit linking you to your final exit
From dopamine to punishing neural numbness.

On a Veterans Day the senior veteran
Recalled his first parade and how as a young boy
He followed the trolley tracks through his neighborhood
Past the park and school through a residential gorge
Walled by the cloned facades of 3-story houses
Past the white marble domed state capitol where he
Once heard the new president F.D.R. lauding
"Rhode Island its green valleys and hills" and looking
Around for them he saw no green valleys or hills
And then continuing to follow trolley tracks
He heard the faint propagation of bands playing
Aroused he double-timed along the trolley tracks
To their downtown loop terminus overrun by
Spectators crowding and cheering from sidewalks of
Main Street's long and narrow macadam parade ground
Applauding the mustered Word War 1 veterans
Parading with flags and banners and strapped sidearms
Stepping smartly with fixed eyes to Souza's marches
Martialled by thundering base drums, burping tubas
Moaning trombones, stuttering snares, raucous trumpets
Soldiers marching with their bayoneted rifles
Horses pulling cannons with corollary caissons
Loudspeakers blaring music about "over there"
Lookers shouted names but soldiers stared ahead
At memorialized ghosts of slaughtered buddies
The excited boy clapping along with others
Saw standing nearby several women sobbing
Drying their tears dabbing with small white handkerchiefs
It was the first time the boy had seen women sob
And he wondered "Why are these women sobbing, why?"
Then came marines in colorful dress uniforms
Then came the sailors in navy blues and starched whites
Marching with Newport banners to "anchors aweigh"
Then came the "purple hearts" seated in Model A's
And then the contingent of R.I. volunteers
Then came the crack Smithfield artillery unit
And the loudspeakers played "roses of Picardy"
And the boy saw several men shaking sobbing
Wiping away their tears with trembling rough gnarled hands
"Why are men sobbing? Why are grown-up men sobbing?"
After the parade from the steps of city hall
Shouting through a spring suspended microphone the
Mayor recalled the armistice declared in that
11th month, 11th day, 11th hour.
Today the senior veteran of World War 2
Recalling memorial phrases "over there"
And "roses of Picardy" now understands why
On that Armistice Day those women and men sobbed
Today the veteran himself sobs recalling
The melody and lyrics "I'll be seeing you"
And all those expendable young men with crew cuts
And all the fallen never to be seen again
And the cries "Over here! this guy has no dog tags".
(Armistice Day was inspired by Veterans Day.)

From Italy to France and tutto to tutu
From anatomy to body parts the dancers
Animate de rigueur their classic positions
With muscled intelligence emote precise moves
Rehearsed with addiction to body extensions
The graceful synergy of music and muscle
Partnered with mirrored clones retrieve reflections of
The virtual egocentric in rehearsal
And submitting to choreographer’s shouts
Stretch selfness in reaching from corps to soloist
The gravity of live performance densed inward
Bursts to apprehension of dance drama on stage
Prima ballerina the solo supple sylph
Her blistered feet cushioned in customized slippers
Solemnly surveys arm’s length to broken wrist and
Downtrend fingers correctly pointing southeast then
Nonchalantly approves her starting position
With slight rotation of arms and extended leg
Dances to pit music executing routines
In flowing submission to rehearsed punctilios
Butterfly fluttering among the flowered themes
And after her flourish of spins and arabesques
She curtsies to Terpsichore, turns, and beckons him.
Primo ballerino prances with elegance
Bird of paradise, peacock fanning tail coverts
Iridescent hummingbird feeding on nectar
With mute bombast cockily struts to center stage
With élan muscling statuesque turgidity
Narcissus with bulbous pouch dances with himself
Broad jumping stage left to stage right and back again
Leaping to levitation, hovering midair!
Landing he pirouettes as funneled whirlwind then
In split-second timing stops catatonic cold
With gestures confirming superb body control
His practiced perfect arrogance demands applause.
The fragile prissy nymph coyly vulnerable
Solicits attention from her endowed partner
Contoured to pas de deux she feigns indifference
She breaks away and he confronts but then she flees
He follows her numbered steps without retrieval
Suddenly she leaps from scenery onto stage
Spread-eagle with flying buttocks and open crotch
From classé to grand jeté and then répéter
Pointeing pomping in place creating imbroglio
Reprising Italian moves that pinch pink buttocks
Harlequin gigolo seizing and ravishing
Then his hand slipping on performance sweats descends
Waywardly with intrusion on forbidden paths
Recovering he hands her flexible sacrum
Lifting the anorexic nymph high overhead
Spins her like rotor blades uplifting his prowess
Releasing her to shortfall she drops with half roll
Her crotch his nasofront intimately coupled
He gently grounds her, they break, and tiptoe off stage
To the wild applause of front row balletomanes.
At the nth curtain call they are revealed once more
She bows repeatedly then poses in curtsy
He nods to her once and once to manic voyeurs
With upturned palm and fingers shafting their bravos
He acknowledges the loud Colosseum crowd
His haughtiness elicits continued applause.
At the base of Mount Olympus dance devotees
Worshipping in the temple of classic ballet
Submit to divine exhibits of deities.
Men voyeurs turned on by spread legs, winging crotches
Aggressively pursue those ballerinas whose
Tutu tulle ruffles become the marquee for two
Prudish women aroused by ebullient pouches
Furtively solicit those ballerinos for
Rendezvous to rehearse prurient fantasies.
In the pantomime orchestrated for dancing
In the moving love affair with dance ecstasy
The sexy titillates of daily TV soaps
Are elevated to ballet's body language
And altruistic pledging by rich dance patrons
Combined with tax-dollar doles for the NEA
Support ballet as high art of porno dancing.
(Ballet was prompted by the specious noblesse oblige of classical ballet.)

In the screen load he sees colored pixels dancing
Viewing with eyes firing at n times a second
His right eye discerns the red-pixeled number 8
His left eye discerns the green-pixeled number 3
Observing now from a different locus gazing
And transfixed by the hypnotic photonic glow
His right eye sees the pale blues of his darling's face
In it his left eye sees her mysterious smile
Who is she, what is she, why does she smile like that?
The temporal bifocal percept is now proofed
By responsive physicals transducing it to
Convoluted neural circuits generating
Inputs gating impressions to experience
Creating a partnered + and - pattern
Of brain waves reciprocating as awareness
Charging molecular circuits with memory.
(Binocular was prompted by visual illusion.)

Standing on his shore scanning the far horizon
Costumed in ceremonial regalia is
The big black king, son of a lion and leopard
Wigged with a lion's mane flowing over his shoulders
His neck collared with a necklace of lions' canines
Festooned around his waist lions' dried testicles
Dangling over the patchwork of velvety pelts
The loinfurs gerrymandered from female leopards
Its random spots graphic the crafty king's black heart
Its canopy sheltering painted legs anchored
By feathered anklets for flying to ancestors
The horizon's merged sky and sea now separate
As approaching white caps buoy and blow in driftwood
Getting closer and larger the great merchant ship
Sails into the Gulf of Guinea and drops anchor.
Greeted on shore the white captain and his shipmates
Set up their colorful commodity exchange
With practiced salesmanship they display new products
Delighted at the captain's commodious gifts
The gatherer king harvests another black crop
His people celebrate drumming dancing singing
Then his people feast on roots and small monkey brains
While the faithless king feasts on massive human brains
Ordering his people into waiting dinghies
King's guards capture escapees binding them with vines
The black king does the deal selling his own people
For the white captain's colorful products and then
The white consumer and black producer shake hands.

And the Black Madonna gave birth to Black Jesus
Who as preacher was judged guilty of blasphemy
Was crucified and his corpse infused with black rage
Black rage because Elijah did not rescue him
Black rage because whites did not save him from
himselfWaking and rising from the dead he acted out
His black rage demanding from his white father the
Clapping deafening thunder bels of lightning strobes
Splitting asunder the great guardian tombstone
Then passing unseen through its fissure Black Jesus
Rising to heaven was bleached white by cosmic rays
Today that bleaching of divine sovereignty
Are ritual lamentations of gospel choirs.
To you blacks still angered at Elijah and whites
To you blacks despairing over the whitening
Whitening waves rippling over your subculture
Jesus descending from his seat of divinity
Will come upon you with his spirit of vengeance
Converting complacent blacks to vengeful zealots
Champions for that compensatory justice
From dead whites and their slaveless living ascendants
To all you angry blacks whose ancestors were sold
Into slavery by African kings and chiefs
To black admirers of Amin and Mobutu
They are modern traders still selling their people
To all you blacks still denying that treachery
To those of you still suffering, Jack the Blackist
Will baptize you with socially correct black rage
Demonstrating, marching, propagandizing and
Rioting for your fancied make-up benefits
For extorting yet another black holiday
For continuing your separate subculture
And for prejudicing future generations.
3.
Black and brown integrated in the sun's white rays
Fall as white curtained doorways of tabernacles
Behind the white door the darkness of black and brown
Come out! come out from your dark confining chamber!
To you angry blacks who believe that Black Jesus
Rising to heaven was radiated to brown
Who believe black and brown supersede black and red
Who spread emollients on brown skin not on white skin
The brown skin following Muhammad to Mecca
The brown skin submitting to the will of black skin
Brown skin getting blacker by doctrinal degrees
Brown skin that in submitting converts you to the
Magic of that old black rage now enshrouding you
The black rage cavitating and sponging your brain.
(Black Rage was prompted by black racism.)

See the matriarchs in familial whoring
Grimacing while mating then taking male goodies
And when they have the goodies they chase males away
While barking oathful phrases "sed ministrare".
See the migratory matriarchs with goodies
Cruising for and enticing young female locals
Glowing with luciferase they greet each other
With soprano squealing they voice the litany
Of those subservients avoiding conflict who
Embrace for bonding and doing body surfing
Then squatting in a circle pass around their charmed
Nude silk Shroud of Turgid stained with magenta face
In blind man's bluff they touch and identify with
Tongues kissing and mouths engulfing bacteria
All the new old-fashion gals with archaean genes
Consecrating their union with loving unction
Sappho's spirochetes swim in their spinal fluid
"All you Bonobo gals in NOW sorority
Hi there, see you all at the Amherst festival".
(Bonobo Gals was prompted by the matriarchal society of bonobo apes.)

Once in loving hands her show breasts are now flaccid
Once caressed by foreplay kisses her full thighs are
Now femurs humping under pallid sagging skin
Reduced to her skeletal self she ghosts the room
Maintained by unions demanding more care dollars
Drained to vacated mind and body she is now
Insensate and motionless with dry opaque eyes
Redesigned by healthcare providers she becomes
A brachial blob reaching out through plastic tubes
Talking through semiprivate lines to monitors
Directing the sustenance of her brainstem death
Mummified with medical wrappings, faith, and prayers
Her cells grow Fu Manchu nails and Rapunsel hair
Sometimes she moves like the primitive Trichoplax
Then after many years and millions of dollars
They pronounce the brachial blob legally dead.
(Brachial Blob was prompted by the need for euthanasia.)

And the living came upon the field where it crashed
Where it fell from the sky with its human cargo
All the loved potent males and the fertile females
Who fell from above and were memorialized
By stones made sacred anointed with engine oil
There in that green field is the cairn of Lockerbie
In invocation they pray for the departed
Elevating their memories to monument
Whose image commends new life in resurrection
Will the reborn ascend on the sun's slanted rays
As did mummified kings buried in pyramids
Or wander down to the megaliths of Stonehenge?
Rounding the cairn the living make silent offers
Each offer coping with the outrage of that crash
Each offer gaining better understanding but
On the nth round they do not sublime to new life
Instead they climb the rocks of the Mount of Mercy
Joining at the top the expulsed Adam and Eve
Surveying the plain of crawling protozoans
Penitential sinner descendants confessing
Invoking the help of their inscrutable God
Praying for the deceased in that unknown domain
Where the absolute coalesces with oneness.
(Cairn was prompted by the Lockerbie cairn.)

Sweet tones from excited molecules are backed by
Rhythm from nucleotide bases as they play
Nascent tunes ensembled by the musical bonds
Of tempoed cantabile energy whose strong
Vibrations voice the lyrical perception of
Tonal impulses transformed to notable sounds
Of caressing lips soughing love messages from
Visceral responses singing sotto voce
Phantasmal voices rendered as canzone the
Musical anima played in recurring dreams
Refrained at rests it listens with both inner ears
To melodic passages augmented by their
High emotions randomly stored then collated
In mind spheres integrated by euphoria
Its scintillating images sing the staffed notes
Scored and styled for bel canto singers who revel
In their aired vocal ascent from anthropoid grunts.
And now I hear and sing again that canzone
Evolved from the voicings of animal matings
To the ensembled timbred phrasings of love in
A melody of major emotive splendor
Replacing common singsong with a rhapsody
Created as an enchanted mind excursion
Impassioned empathy recombinant with awe
Aurally gifting me with ecstasy as I
Surrender with tears to the melodic embrace of
Music stroking the seizures of my crescendo joys
Music infusing stoics with campy emotion
Enticing hermits to emerge smiling and even
Charming Nemesis to renounce her infinite rage.
(Canzone was inspired by glorious melodic music contrasted with boiler-plated phrases assembled for current popular music.)

Lesson 1.
Who made the heavens, the earth, and all there is?
Lord God created all there was, is, and will be.
He created earth too small, so what did he do?
Pitying earth he filled it with living creatures.
Did Lord God create a special living creature?
He created the first human, the man Adam.
What did the Lord God do to one of Adam's ribs?
God removed and transgendered it to make woman.
How did Adam and his woman partner survive?
They ate from the good food trees and the tree of life.
What did the Lord God tell Adam about eating?
That he was not to eat from the tree of knowledge.
If Adam obeyed would the Lord God reward him?
Adam would live forever and be immortal.
But if Adam disobeyed would he be punished?
The Lord God warned Adam he would be doomed to death.
And did the Lord God or Adam warn the woman?
No, neither warned her about the tree of knowledge.
Then how did she learn about that forbidden tree?
A black serpent sliding out of the tree rot
Coiled itself on the trunk and then beckoned to her.
Did the woman scream in horror, was she repulsed?
Mesmerized by the serpent she approached the tree.
How did the cunning coiled black serpent seduce her?
Slithering to the ground the serpent turned white and
Erecting itself as Adam's rib it whispered
"Fear not, come closer, I am already in you
The Lord God transgendered me to you, I am the
Secret desire you denied but now acknowledge
If you eat this fruit you will digest great knowledge
The Lord God did not tell you because knowledge would
Reveal his pretended seat of divinity
Adam did not tell you because you would then know
More than he, the part being greater than the whole
With all that knowledge you could outsmart both of them
My wisdom could make you queen of this pleasure park"
Then the rib turned black coiling itself slimy limp
And slithered up the trunk back into the tree rot.
Contemplating her potential, what did she do?
She picked and ate much fruit from the tree of knowledge
She gorged herself giving Adam only a bite.
How did Lord God punish them for their transgressions?
He banished them forever from the pleasure park.
Did the Lord God do anything else to punish them?
Precluded them from the tree of life's immortal path.
And why did the Lord God preclude them from that path?
To doom them to death so he could resurrect them.
What happened to the banished Adam and woman?
They were most prolific so Adam called her Eve.
Now class who was the mother of all our mothers?
That mother was the knowledgeable banished Eve.
Lesson 2.
Why did God make man and woman in his image?
To obey and worship him as God our Father.
Why did God create us with will to choose freely?
So we may freely choose the good over the bad.
Are good choices rewarded and bad ones punished?
Good is rewarded with future resurrection
Bad is punished with eternal pain/suffering.
Why was it once a sin to eat meat on Friday?
Because our God had no meat to eat on Friday.
Why is it now not a sin to eat meat on Friday?
A new pope overruled an old infallible pope.
Where was God when the plane exploded in the sky
When it crashed into the sea killing everyone?
God the shepherd was watching his flock in heaven.
When misfortune comes upon us what should we do?
Pray for our God's life-sustaining intercession.
If our prayers are life sustaining, why do we die?
We die because it is God's will to take us back
God is the maker, the shaker, and the breaker.
Are God's heaven and hell real or just theory?
Heaven is the state of blessedness not proved false
Hell is the state of suffering always proved true.
Why has God now combined religion and science?
The faithful are now + attracted to heaven
And the sinful are now - repulsed to hell.
Did God solve the creationist-science conflict?
Yes; scripture clearly states that God created man.
There are those who claim God created man-woman
Science proposes woman was created first
And recent Mideast excavations reveal that
God created man with XYY chromosomes
What chromosomes did God use for his man-woman?
We cannot comprehend our God's divine values.
Some claim God was first to use binary coding
If true, God used binary codes for faith and sin
If science assigns the faithful the value 1
While assigning the sinful the value 0
What value then should science assign to our God?
Binary code cannot replace trinary code
Therefore man's values do not apply to our God.
(Catechism was prompted by religion's scriptured answers to the God myth.)
22Jul96
You avow in religion's dark confessional
You do penance and are contrite but they remain
Secreted in cerebral lobes where they act up
As the bad memories of your past misfortunes
Protected by and enduring as scriptured sin
Do not wait for death's absolution or karma
Do it now in your retreat, in your solitude
Enter the consciousness of your biosystem
Depart a pilgrim with your systolic outflow
Now circulate listening to your inner ear
Carried away use proximity searching for
The sacred shrine camouflaged with faith and mantras
The shrine made divine by self-imposed suffering
Then finding it see on its statuary screen
Chemical bond icons displayed for updating
Delete all those molecules of bad memories
Purge yourself of popular mythical mores
Now having made the pilgrimage and offering
Return to your heartfelts in diastolic peace.
(Catharsis was prompted by the need to eliminate false precepts.)

At birth we howl protesting our deaths programmed in
Replinoid memories of molecular bonds
Having heard spring songs of 17-year locusts
Having outlived actuarial man and then
Having resolved and summed our alpha-subalphas
And senescent having lived through all life's stages
We contemplate in endless time our mayfly days
Considering with envy the enduring lives
Coded in the giant redwood and bristlecone pine.
Amid summer's greening leaves dry yellow and fall
Old age draws attenuate a solid thymus
To diaphanous invisible filaments
Subliming ending in ultimate abstractions
Radicals attack with molecules moling under
Membranes whose internals are destined for senescence
Once upright cilia are bent flaccid ending
With condolences attending decline of life
When my + and - coalesce to zero
When powerhouse mitochondria shut down and
Ribosomes decode messaged nongenic codons
Whose aborted amino acids eat tissue
Wasting away my short-lived singularity
When warm energetic cells declining become
Morbidly cool losing inputs/outputs then will
New palliating drugs stroke my dying cells and
Extend my days massaging rigor mortis but
I still wonder, where have all my telomeres gone?
Now alone with my genes and habits recorded
In chemical bonds clinging without reaction
My carbon life with all its physical unknowns
With its beauties, enticements, and grotesqueries
Will end a closed shell game unable to react
In the end when you recall my living image
Recall it as bundled isomered elements
Whose starful aggregate evolved to earthbound man
Remember also my + and - and their
Premise in the kingdom of Atomicus Rex.
Immortality is in stellar ejecta
In atomic bonds traversing 10n light years
Evolving on earth as conscious mortality
Its corollary our bio death in cell years.
(Ciao was inspired by our physical decay, contrasted with divine recall.)

In a hardwood forest after an autumn rain
From the cold dampened duff ghostly mists are rising
Appearing as moving bodies of forayers
The scheming adulteress wife with her sharp knife
The sad cuckold trailing with his whistle bracelet
The pair foraging for choice gourmet edibles.
She spies with glee the mat of young honey mushrooms
Communed there cespitose on a rotting oak stump
Aggressively displaying their ebullient heads
Delighted by this chance encounter she opens
Her switchblade knife and cuts their common attachment
Loading the severed in her pink oval basket.
Foraging Fortuna now looks for a satyr
But finds instead a mycological reward
A formation of erect woodland sentinels
Standing at full attention with their erumpent heads
A stable of mature Phallus machodictus
On her knees she gently grasps a flesh-colored stalk
Cutting it at its hairy base and one-by-one
Fills the anxious voids of her pink oval basket.
Nearby in a thicket in a clearing he spies
In the day shade a solitary white virgin
Modeling with her smooth wartless umbrella cap
Protecting her fragile and membranous white veil
Covering an unblemished svelte chitinous stalk
Descending gracefully to her exposed volva
Grasping the base of Amanita virosa
He cuts and drops it into his empty brown pouch
Then secrets it deep in her pink oval basket.
Then is summoned the little old lady in black
By candlelight she serves pasta and mushroom pie
He eats pasta with pesto topped with virgin oil
He watches her gusto as she devours the pie
Her obscene masticating mouth gulping white wine
He smiles dutifully pretending to eat pie
Then they sip espresso and warm champagne cognac
But then nausea and cramps, she wobbles a bit
Flashes of phallotoxin's invidious revenge
Then walls and floor melt and merge as in Daliland
Then complaining her ravaged liver flies away
Amo, amas, amat as in amatoxin
Weakening she calls out the name of her lover
But he's on the net chatting with other women
And then comes her penitential cry "Don't leave me"
Nearby the grinning witness husband approaches
Reaching out for him she falls comatose and still
Then at last she's cold and stiff, above suspicion
Then softly he bids her farewell "Ciao bambina".
(Destroying Angel was prompted by spousal infidelity.)

It happened that the emperor's taxes were due
And Jesus took disciples Peter, John, and James
Mountain climbing ascending to the highest peak
There a mammato-cumulus came upon them
Jesus lifting his cup filled it with manna milk
Drinking he cast upward his loving eyes and then
Was heard a nurturing motherly voice cooing
"This is the triplet fruit of my womb, three-in-one
Follow him doing what he says, not what he does"
With arms raised high Jesus caressed the passing cloud
His face became pale, then white, then bright as the sun
Then appeared Moses and Elijah beside him
Seeing them the astonished disciples trembled
Then Peter recovering said to James and John
"We must protect them from the emperor's taxes
Let us therefore build each of them a tax shelter"
Jesus hearing said "Close your eyes then open them"
When the disciples opened their eyes they saw that
Jesus was alone pointing to them commanding,
"Don’t tell anyone what you have seen at these heights
For tax purposes do not reveal I am three
Give to God all those taxes others pay to Rome
Also, give to God taxes belonging to God."
2.
"The taxpayers of this nation have rightfully
Complained that tax collectors have conformably
Passed over all those engaged in priestly duties
Those devoted to holy sacrifices and
That their devotion should be extended to the
Generous application of taxes to all
But those afflicted with Biblical scripture claim
That tax exemption was given in the Bible
Therefore by the power of wasteful government
For tax assistance and revenue collection
By the invested power earned by taxpayers
And by virtue of their fiscal authority
I decree this directive become effective
The next millennium in the year 2000:
To all those performing sacerdotal functions
Those wearing Roman collars, black suits, or habits
Those using tax dollars for proselytizing
Those who are invoking their Gods for protection
Claiming special privilege for tax exemption
You are role models breaking your own Golden Rule
Doing for yourselves what you do not for others
Know you not that you live in a nation in debt?
Know you not your unpaid taxes deny milk to
Minority moms birthing platoons of bastards?
The time is past due for you to be penitent
Confess all your sins of reverent omission
Confess your sins of self aggrandizement, repent
All you consumers of God must pay for your God
Start paying your share of taxes, alleluia!
Your faith will sustain and succor you here on earth
Resurrection in heaven will dole your refund".
(Ex Cathedra was prompted by religion's exemption from taxation.)

Northern lights lid my darling's gleaming sky blue eyes
Aloof and constant they shine like flashing beacons
Nearby they flicker with the brilliance of blue flame
Short wavelengths on melanin tints scatter in her
White tissue azure remnants of their long voyage
From atmosphere to clear membranes to sparkling blues
Infused with genetic locus cerulean
Her aquamarine fire burning in my bloodstream
Lights the amorous drama of my fantasy
Perfused on geodesic lucents her pattern
Passes blithely through my corneal windowed dome
With my crystalline lens wide open for taking
She gets inside me and I bend her into shape
Her sweet refraction makes a cute angle
As she bubbles over with aqueous humor
And saunters with process through ciliary networks
And for amusement she runs about pursuing
Dark flies flying as shards in vitreous humor
Then becoming supple gymnast turns somersaults
With heels over head she's upsidedown and backwards
I rush to her aid with retinal rectitude
Whose rote reflex focuses her wayward image
Which atoning for itself now becomes upright
Her conversion confirmed by charitable cones
Filling her palette with red, green, and blue pigments.
She's a sharp impression in the fovea seat
So we rendezvous there and coupling we ride out
Her Nordic ice floes melting in love currents as
Kisses render her cool sky blues to warm earth browns
Drifting past ardor's blind spot we enter the large
Dark conduit of the optic tunnel of love
In dark adaption she dilates her hungry lips
As my slender rods increase with each warm bleaching
Now my bundled rods and my staff they comfort her
Love in the dark, amygdala obligato
Embracing she gestates the vaporous soughing
Signed in the lacrimal language of ecstasy
"Hush darling, your glycoline tears do well too soon
Is it time amore, che ora serrata"?
Now alone with pixled pupils of my PC
My long visionary travails imagine her
Recreating her with screen monogreen graphics
But her primary sky blues are still an eyeful
Her afterimage accompanies and haunts me
Signing off I see the aura of soft pink flesh
Without her I look only at a white blank world
In a shadowed reverie deep in purple dream
I'm in a crowd searching for her cool sparkling blues.
(Eyeful was inspired by a young woman's eyes whose brilliant blue irises literally sparkled.)

2. The Coming
Cross talking from each lobed hemisphere God's voices
Send him to mission in Grand Central Terminal
There he dwells moleing in labyrinthine tunnels
Walled by large graffiti-montaged gaudy posters
For the NEA's yearly production of its
Tax-payer pledge drive for the benefit of the
City theater of the faithfully absurd as
Fronting trumpeter angels announce his coming:
"Arriving on track AD millennia late
Making his second charitable appearance
The all-time all-place favorite illusionist
Realized as messiah, GCT Jesus!"
Emerging from a lower level he enters
The temple nave his attendants clearing a path
Wearing brown monkish vestment belted with prayer beads
The gaunt messiah with black beard and blank field eyes
Avoids eye contact staring autistic in space
The multitude of commuters makes way for him.
3. The Sermon
Davidian preacher called Crèche begins ranting:
"Listen to me I have heard the voices of God
Who do you think I am? Am I the messiah?
This terminal transits sinners to and fro but
Above angels are flying in GCT space
If you join me we will walk together with God
When I cast my net upon all those to and fro
The faithless will pass through my net's mesh to hell
But I will pull to me the worthwhile the faithful
I will lay hands upon them to harvest welfare
I will distribute that welfare to single moms
They promise to buy milk for their hungry bastards
They promise not to buy crack for partying high
You are like swine herds rushing to drown in the sea
You are like marching army ants with briefcases
Commuting to acquire for protecting your queens
To you pampered queens fed by your sisters' labors
You queens now lying in with your male offerings
To you queens who have abandoned your warm home nests
Opening your minds and your legs to therapists
You queens abusing doing moral turpitude
Fornicating in motels and cardboard boxes
Whose bodies are pregnant with Anima Christi
With the most perpetual faith in creation
With the most blessed sacrament of gestation
Claiming sole control of your reproductive rights
Lord God with his male trinity law enforcement
Will hunt and track you down, capture, and punish you
With exotic viral toxins converting your
Moist labial fields to celibate fallowness
Then will the sin dried succumb to Pharaoh's dry rot
And fresh dung perfume your dandering body stench!
I say to all you homeless begging in the streets
To you wandering homeless in this great temple
I say to you beware of the middle class dream
The dream of acquiring, consuming worldly goods
The dream of the corporate downsized and the fired
Know that productive workers first lose welfare rights
Then gain false equality by joining unions
Union bosses in soiled robes will tithe your earnings
Those pulp bosses commercialized as Santa Claus
Will baptize you with strike rights for legal blackmail
Greedily demanding ransom as they refuse
To deliver bread and milk to hungry children
Then will you look at yourself with swollen black eyes
And see that you are only equal to yourself.
You homeless seek not dangerous city shelters
Seek not those rat and roach infested SROs
Seek not safe houses whose staffs ravage and rape you
I say to you get off your nights of drugs and wine
Get back to the good old days of drug-free voices
Voices directing you to follow his footsteps
Voices directing you as homeless wanderer
Know that wandering Jesus was also homeless
Know also that Jesus demanded welfare doles
His preaching called for bread and wine and they fed him
The Lord God will succor your homeless poverty
The Lord God gives his loving preference to you
Exercise your welfare begging rights because they
Give you options to buy future seats in his new
Multicolored resurrection balloon rising
Over earthly mansions and above mountain tops
Up and up beyond the firmament to heaven
To those of you who miss this opportunity
Do not despair be contrite and confess your sins
Of middle class dreams, be penitent then will his
Hovering spaceship land for your trip to heaven.
As astrologer reading the heavens I say
That the father's son will also be his brother
Replacing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Thereby blaspheming our Lord God's holy trinity
I tell you this, unless you have faith and believe
You are only blebs on an evolving corpus
Your maintenance lives neatly summed in résumés
Are BS singsong credits for MS degree
These are not prerequisites for heaven entry
So hurry to my side and join my ministry
Know that in the next millennium your faith will
Update the book of classical mythology".

Before the voids of great vastness and dark abyss
Before the chaos of the formless infinite
Before the seminal violence of fire clouds
Was cosmic consciousness transduced to energy
Was an oscillating virtual universe
Was the dreamtime rapture of probability
Was a universe of quanta seen and unseen
The unseen was never resolved but we see its
Fluorescence when + and - shine upon it
Creationists still claim that the first fluorescence
Was God's divine countenance shinning upon space
Exposing space to his mysterious powers
That God never used RNA reverse transcriptase
To create copies of himself and call them man
Creationists are still scripting God's miracles
Those unnatural results descending from myth
On earth evolution shows natural process.
In the beginning was the unknown solution
Whose constituents created time in space and
Galactic reflections in the mirrored sky
Turn and see images of virtual matter
Consumed by a massive black body condenser
Its pressurized plenum becoming unstable
Becoming violent exploding to plasma
To incandescent vaporous clouds accreting
Nanosecond remainders retained in light years
Out there far beyond constellations are pulsars
Whose fan beams signal the story of genesis
In invisible time making and breaking bonds
Then was heard the serpent's background hiss recounting
The mating bonds and electromag charges of
+ and - in the sky and in our bodies.
Bereshit before Urgod there was combinance
Look!
Rising over the distant space-time horizon
Its accession shifting spectral bands towards blue
Its quasi fields radiating ghostly corpora
Their magnetic mycelia feeding gravitons
Diffused with decimals ê 1 ê 2
Specters of + and - becoming matterals
Its matteral time distorting spatial outputs
Becoming plasma filaments for power grids
Matterals ending becoming antimatterals
Their fractals proposing radical theories
Of genetic fluctuations for paradigms
Of zeros converting the weightless to massful
Of star time immersed in invisible dark time
Of attraction, repulsion, annihilation
Forever imbedded in creation cycles
The atoms of diverse primitive elements
Defining the kingdom of Atomicus Rex
Filled with galaxy after galaxy without end
We are middlings who know about the middle but
We will never know the beginning nor the end.
(Genesis was inspired by creation of our universe.)

Renouncing their secular lifestyles they retreat
Safely sequestered under monastic orders
The monks intone with largo religioso
Their commitment to vows as they confirm by rote
The poverty of single line dirge melodies
Devoted music submitting to chastity
To modal chanting in choral obedience
To neumes instructing sacred recitations from
The monotonous feast of blessed solitude
Then rejoicing in group hypnosis they confess
Purging themselves of recurring carnal desires
In holistic dedication to him their Lord
In devotional service to his divine will
In homogenous choral susurration the
Monk cantors render those emollient murmurs scored
In psalmodies of lamentations and passions
"Salve Virgo embrace this brotherhood praising
Your sweet lullabies ordained in this our chanting
Lord clasp us to your bleeding heart that we may be
Transfused with your immaculate most precious blood
Lord Jesus in chanting with our base line tongues we
Pray to you and your inspiring Holy Spirit"
Above the crucified Christ icon promises
Resurrection to be witnessed by stained glass saints.
(Gregorian Chant was prompted by the revival of its music.)

Submerged alone in deep sleep anesthesia
Dreaming in the sanctum of your locked bedroom the
Grotesquery evolved from protist predator
Passes blithely through your wall leaving it intact
Dispatching you as fugitive from love's embrace
Approaching your bedside it transmogrifies to
An evil corpus hovering and then landing
Next to you glaring with its dark eyeless sockets
Becoming Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot then Amin
Becoming Brazilian police brutalizing
Homeless boys giving bullets instead of candy
Becoming CIA covert squads who torture
And slaughter dissenters, even Americans
It stands at your bedside with raised stained machete
Waiting for your eye contact and then when you look
It splits open your skull exposing your secret
The one hiding in you and suffocating you
In hypoxic paralysis you struggle to wake
Pouring yourself out of your nightmare's gaping wound
Screaming you open your eyes and wake it away
My nightmare rescued by Somnus interruptus.
(Grotesquery was prompted by nightmares.)

Daughter cells abandon their mothers’ colonies
Worldwide unwanted newborns are grounded, buried
In Sudan are grounded bodies of the raped/starved.
In Zaire are camps of civil war refugees
Where enemy black lackeys attack and kill them
Escaping from the death camps refugees flee to
Traffic a dirt road to an unknown destiny
Straggling along is a weakened wasted young boy
Faltering the starveling boy stops then collapses
Falling roadside and abandoned little boy black
Lies cespitose grounded like amorphous road kill
Mummified flesh stretched over a skeletal frame
Shows his white bones erumpent under black film flesh
In stream of awareness the refugee roadsters
Pass him by with programmed robotic aloofness
Men stare ahead to their hoped for destination
Women ignore the fallen fruit of mother's womb
A few of his villagers stop look continue
Past the boy of occasional movement as he
Implores them with bony hand rattling as sistrum
Ringing as Sanctus bell announcing his plight but
Passers by discriminate against him because
He moans in primitive despair and not in French.
Whose nurturing countenance will look upon him?
Who among them will show mercy or give solace
Ministering to his ravaged prostrate body
With caring hands rescuing the mortified boy?
Which benefactor will remit his misfortunes?
Do not forsake him just to walk another mile
When all have passed by who will kneel to water him
To finger his lips with a bit of root porridge?
Passing and ignoring they flow from his right side
In the twilight interface between life and death
Between humanity and the earthy slime mold
We thought the heart was the tabernacle of love
We now know the heart is the muscle that pumps blood.
Delirium images the kneeling savior
Whose cupped hands offer the chalice of sacred wine
Converting entreaty to peaceful surrender
Justly confirmed by a dark passing cumulus
Above the Black Madonna weeps her vale of tears
Cleansing the boy's frangible remaining body
For the reunion with his village ancestors.
(Grounded was prompted by the televised image of an abandoned boy in Africa lying roadside dying of starvation, begging for help from his fellow villagers who saw but passed by ignoring his pleas.)

That's the hammer of my father and his father
With its worn claws, scarred face, new hickory handle
The handle grasped by my father's massive strong hand
The hand and the hammer that built so many dreams
That built the tenement house in which I was born
With his pile-driving arm swinging bang! Swinging bang!
Slamming 20 penny common into framing
Or driving and then countersinking finish nails
Or coaxing a board into a rabbeted slot
Or tapping an oak dowel into a drilled hole
Carefully chiseling a mortise in cherry
Building with pride the altar railings of St. John's.
I can still hear that hammer banging its message
Of the old noble trade passed on through the ages
To the supportive one, the faithful carpenter
The one who built the infant's crib in the manger
Sure, that's the hammer, the hammer my father used.
(Hammering was prompted by prize-winning banal poetry.)

Confined in a maze of loneliness he escapes
On well-worn paths to reverie and there dreams of
Retrieving from deep fissures in his lobed network
His virtual lover imbedded camouflaged
In his neural circuitry's dreamtime emotion
She shows then snows illusive as a Higgs boson
She is there coded in his knotted DNA
Reading, comparing his search engine makes the hit
Integrants link the retrieved memory to dream
Cloned from dreamtime's most intimate recollections
Reclining dormant in his 109 cells she wakes
Configured phenotype of centerfold model
His idea of womanhood appears embodied
From vascularity Donna Serotona
Strutting in the furrows of his amygdala
Her memories firing axonade barrages
At morality’s inhibitory manware
Liberate from his sleep cloister her dream substance
Portrayed by Vermeer’s brilliant sunlight through window
Whose projection is focused to frame the folds of
Scented bedroom lace veiling her hormone rushes
His dream raster projects her pheromone pixels
He submits to her seductive theta rhythms
Approaching with coronal specter blueing in
A tight comp duality transformed to her self
With stiletto heels of power packed gammas and
X-rays penetrating his hidden primate past
Her sorcery beckons coyly and they rendezvous
Coming together in ionic attraction
Where brain waves expose love's resident fantasies
Where kissing transfers their alpha-subalphas and
Sampling he falls towards her torrid center as her
Sweet odorcast bursts upon his hippocampus
In resolving chaos lustful memories of
Warm blooded hunger searching love's trail in the dark
Foraging for sustenance of body parts then
Sharing their common covalences they cruise all
Those intimate membranes previewing paradise
Turning on chimp genes for promiscuous sexing
Enduring in his loins her old love routine weeps
Voicing overtones of visceral harmonics
For convulsive perturbations of his prostate
Then aggression migrates nucleotide triplets
Then are heard royal blue stentorian trumpets
Whose fringed open bells proclaim the micro evolved
Triumphal process to consanguine molecules
Love makes copies as they exchange + and -
Immortality's barter greater than themselves
In that calipered embrace they transduce all their
Innermost thoughts to chains of amino acids
As their gametes fuse alleles vie for dominance
They break releasing their intense coupling and then
Gasping subsides to gratified mewing and while
Medusa's lucent goo glistens on her young thighs
Her nectarase aftertaste lingers on his lips
She basks massaged by the warm sperm flagella and
In love's afterglow submissive sotto voce
Gratified she reclines surrounded by flat waves
With receding coronal specter redding out
She signs off terminating his daydream session
Shattering his fragile frozen bubble of love
She leaves like Euglena without even good-bye
He wakes in loneliness lamenting her sign-off
Lamenting alone, senza inamorata.
(Incantesimo was inspired by an enchanting dream.)

Swimming opaqued in a white gelatinous cloud
The provocateur adsorbs upon green slimed rock
And there rises from the microbic seafoam mist
Subliming to oscillating ghostly graphic
Her lucent arms radiating with photon's glow
Volvoxa comes ashore with dazzling visuals
A beach silhouette backlit by the blushing sun
Her bronze body kerchiefed in a white bikini
Posing boldly showing him her + and -
Her seductive extravagance now moves slowly
Past the beach grass grotto into the near cloister
Into the Nipponthese temple where she's enshrined
As niched goddess with two pairs of double nipples
The goddess who never used any of a pair
The posturing goddess aloof and decarnate.
2.
She postures as woman doing/giving nothing
She's the miserly one from whom nothing escapes
She's a giant sucking black hole consuming only
She wants and gets and then she wants to get some more
Her crocodile tears linger piously begging
She complains that she's lonely, that he doesn't care
Then spends the night playing solo on her clittern
She's a wanton wriggling wanter, she's just a whore
In his cappuccino is zuppa di pane
Then she repents deigning to give him once a month
He gives his valid nucleotide sequences
She gives her missense and sometimes she gives nonsense
In her learned paralysis of love-hate marriage
Her neglect syndrome sees his support side only
Then she withdraws ensconced as inscrutable mate
Mute, mutatus, mutation to petrified Sphinx
And he laments "What DNA sequence made you?"
Then she withdraws ensconced as inscrutable Sphinx
Her cameo face cut with rock eyes fixed in space
Her cold demeanor posed in catatonic freeze
Her insolence waits for his verbal assault as
She squats daring him to solve her silent riddle.

Katie my love why do you ridicule me so?
Why do you rebuke me with your spitling venom?
I approach lovingly with hope and flowers but
When I'm loving you you're always biting my neck
Are your saucy green eyes those of a predator?
Katie my love last night in my dream I saw you
Busily spinning a web, smiling witchedly
Then you retreated but I saw you hiding and
Then I ran towards you but got caught in your trick web
Entangled in its gossamer threads vibrating
Ringing your sentinel bell then you pounced on me
Digging your press-on nails into my neck wounds then
We made love and then embraced in roiling passion
Embroiled in sex, hate, and spite you bit off my head
Then you got drunk on my glandular secretions
But my lips were still kissing you and my body
It was still humping in the mating ritual
Passed on to me over all the millions of years
Katie my love with your hard cuore ingrato
You ravaged me then exorcised your evil with
Incantations berating my passionate love
Your rejection condemned mortified me to hell.
When separated we attract each other but
Chained coupled in Dante’s hell repel each other
Katie, Katie now when I approach I'm wary
Now when we're making love I keep one eye open
Now when I see your arm and leg grotesquery
Reaching for me like a giant sea anemone
And feel hunger spasms in your abdomen I know
Protista agonista is stirring in your gut.
(Lamentary was inspired by Core ‘ngrato the greatest musical composition of unrequited love. Music by S. Cardillo, lyrics by R. Codiferro.)

Freed American slaves founded their republic
Now there is no republic, only anarchy
Now their brutal leaders fighting for power are
Black masters buying boy slaves at street auctions
Buying young men and prepubertal boy slaves
Undefiled and homeless boys looking for parents
Innocent boys searching for their benefactors
Find instead tyrannical humanoid masters
Playing the roles of tribal chiefs and witch doctors
Savage leaders striving for crown of leopard cap.
Leaders teach acolytes serial killing games
Prizes of candy bars, alcohol, drugs, and sex
Evil masters teaching satanic rituals
Training boys not to pick cotton but to revenge
Using working tools of grenades and machetes
Giving AK47's sending them off
To reconnoiter their power game area
Liberian gangs more brutal than ghetto gangs
Emulating the massacres in Rwanda
Killing in the streets and hunting in the bush for
Seizing/slaughtering political enemies
Fusillading, hacking, and disemboweling
Trophies of ambushed viscera dropped on the trail
Enemy corpses piled high to form roadblock walls
Their gory heads kicked around for playing soccer.
And after a hard day of mayhem and murder
A beneficent master queries a boy slave
"C'mere boy! How many you kill for me today?"
The boy slave proudly displays his bloody trophies
Pleased the master gives him a pint and double fix
Then when night assaults day blackening its light face
The master calls for his favorite acolyte
Inside the boy undresses exchanging loin cloth
For the advertised new American white briefs
For the privilege of bedding with his master
Who while cruising his captive tenderfoot killers
Dreams of blond boys with dangling participle curls.
(Liberian Boys was prompted by boy abuse in Liberia.)

May revives lavender Syringa vulgaris
Its thyrsoid stems of fragrant finials infuse
The balmy springtime air as bloomtime offerings
In the sun unfold starburst florets opening
The exhibit of subtle ambiguous hues
For genetically mixed petaline palettes
Saturated purple tinted violet with
Brilliant lavender shaded double lavender.
Inspired by colorful redolence I bend
And reaching grasp a stem sniffing open bloomers
Their compounds exuding odorous molecules
Whose airborne oscillations ascend expanding
The delicate perfume arousing passion for
The deep inspiration of the longed sweet odor
Narely welcomed in my vestibule it rises
Up to the nave of my expansive atrium
And then spreading above my turbinate trio
The odorous cloud settled between my eyes is
Welcomed by receptors generating pulses
Passing + and - through micro nerve fibers
Whose generous valences ionize atoms
Charging pulses through thin ethmoidal tunnels for
Input to the elongated control bulb whose
Logic gates process output pulses amplified
For glomerular distribution to the brain
There olfactory pigments redraw circuitry.
In the primeval reverbatory network
Resonating with all its coupled frequencies
And branching to virtual osmic vibrations
Retrieves from its frontal temporary storage
The inspired odor exulting from olfaction
Perpetuating in me appreciation
This day contemplating its holistic beauty
My consciousness rejoices confirming all the
Sights and the smells of double-lavender lilac.
(Lilac was inspired by its bloomtime beauty.)

On public display in her highrise denim skirt
Is the budding requisite body modeling
Maturation becoming aloofness as she
Swaggers on a runway for beady-eyed lookers
Strutting to the background cadence of base heartbeats
The bold juvenile model provokes peekaboos
From raised eyebrows as her flapperish skirt waves back
Showing off the new high-cut white cotton panty
The show-panty blown up and retouched for posters
She's rendered on the street soliciting the one
Wandering in dreams of her blooming biotime
Whose thoughts become ideas become carnal desire
In their encounter she beckons and he follows
Past the parental wailing wall to the park green
That forbidden place, the seraglio of nymphets
Where teen girls experiment with free school condoms
Where they update statutory gobbledygook
Where the minor skirt becomes a brazen nymphet
The fluttering imago seeking sustenance
Exuding her sweet pheromones he pursues her
To the secluded orchid-covered gazebo
There pubertal markers haunting his dreams are now
Hustled from conception and coalesce to the
Bewitching appearance of embodied woman
Standing before him his fantasy incarnate
The exvaginated advertised folly girl
Posing as world model of ultimate turn-on
Smiling sorceress revealed as coquettish nymph
Exquisitely embraceable with doll wad breasts
With hot blushes glazing wet red on artless lips
And defiant lambent eyes stalking its male prey
With adolescent adventure for love's passion
The tender blossom roused in the pink dawning
Renders with teleplay its hormone honey dew
Then amorous fancies take the leap to hands on
Denim rises and paradise is close at hand
Then waves of visceral whispers "dolce mia"
Then kisses and glissando caresses create
De novo lovers in high repro ecstasy
Throbbing and thrashing in their adrenal rushes
In passion realized do staccato gasping
Binding each other with long molecular chains
Her body now redolent with fragrance of love
They relax in the reverie of love resolved
Passion subsides to irenic recovery
Then later descending from his euphoria
He turns to gaze once more upon his beloved
And sees there only a bed of scattered orchids.
(Lolita Proxy was inspired by the Trichoceros antennifera orchid which tricks male flies into mating with it.)

1. Flavius Silva
"There it is the last outpost of Jewish zealots
Their fortress and rock colossus called Masada
Rising isolated in mountain wilderness
Its broad base anchored in rocky desolation
Its high flat summit praying to passing cloud wisps
Its majestic gaunt faces posing the challenge
It was king Herod's refuge from his own people
Those zealous rebellious Jews who would depose him
It was his citadel against Cleopatra's
Imagined army invading his Judea.
Some of those zealots escaped from Jerusalem
Some with their families now live on that summit
Now in the name of their God and in righteousness
And with great zeal for mischief and brutality
They raid their own villages plundering, burning
Murdering property owners and their high priests
Stealing provisions and crops, burning their fields
They are the zealots who in the name of freedom
Harry us like gadflies, biting then flying off
Remember they once slaughtered our garrison here.
They're up there on that high summit looking at us
Living in denial in this desolate place
Thinking they're safely ensconced in their rock fortress
Drinking, eating, praying their God will protect them
They're up there daring the mighty power of Rome
Even Jesus was wise enough not to do that
My Tenth Legion endures on subsistence rations
Licking from dry lips salt dripping from sweaty brows
But my master builders will fill up your ravine
And build an embankment and lay a road on it
My siege engineers will construct a high tower
And my battering ramshead will destroy your wall
Your prophesied world ruler rising in Judah
Will not be a Jew but a Roman emperor."
2. Eleazar ben Yair
"They are now sieging us from their camps around us
Their high tower taunts us with blasphemous babble
Their battering ramshead has breached our casemate wall
Their torches have burned our fortified timbered wall
Lord why do you bestow this vengeance upon us?
At first you turned their torches against their tower
But then you blew that fire against our timbered wall
Lord did we not chastise wayward status quo Jews?
Did we not plunder their homes and destroy their crops?
Did we not drive away their cattle and spill their wine?
Those were Jews of lax religious observances
They forfeited your protection Lord and when they
Claimed that we were mad in our high regard for you
It was you Lord who punished them through our good works
We punished those wicked Jews for their cowardice
Wicked Jews who eschewed freedom under you Lord
Preferring slavery under Caesar in Rome
Did we not punish those Jews submitting to Rome?
Did we not punish those paying Caesar's taxes?
We must now consider our plight at this summit
Below they surround us and here they breached our walls
Tomorrow they will climb their tower and pour through
There is no escape except to the arms of God
Our love of freedom under God will rescue us
From those Roman abominations we detest
We will not obey Rome and its earthly kingdom
We vowed never to be the servants of Caesar
We were the first to revolt against mighty Rome
Now we are the last to struggle against Rome but
We cannot fight and win against their great number
If we surrender we will become slaves of Rome
Our men will be forced to fight and die in their games
Our women will be coveted, stripped, and gang raped
Their rape seeds will grow up Roman serving Caesar
Our own children will surely live their lives as slaves
They will be denied religious observances
Denied daily recitation of the Shema
If we surrender we abandon our Lord God
If we resist their attack fighting to the end
They will slaughter us as sacrifice to Caesar.
God delivered holy Jerusalem to Rome
And then God turned their flaming torches against us
God has given us these omens that we should now
Destroy by fire our provisions and this fortress
We thought this fortress to be unconquerable
But God has shown us his anger at all our sins
Let us receive God's punishment by our own hands
Our hands will be more moderate than those of Rome
God has given us the time to die in freedom
To die as free Jews the men, women, and children
Have we not proved more virtuous and courageous?
Have we not proved determination in our cause?
But God has given us time to resolve this siege
To escape defeat, to deny them victory
I see your tears and hear your lamentations and
Know your painful affliction of indecision
Know the irresolute suffering of that disease
I exhort you to deny them their spoils of war
To sacrifice our sieged bodies for love of God
By lots we can select ten for the genocide
By lots the last of the ten to fall on his sword.
Know that life is afflicted with calamity
Is this not a calamity that afflicts us?
While we are still free with our hands and feet unbound
Let us lie down and deny the Romans their prize
Let us confound them with our courage in dying
All the men, women, and children resolved to die
The husbands, wives, and children dying together
Dearly embracing each other in liberty
Let's produce that deep sleep favorable to God
Death releases us to our immortality
To that place insensible to life's miseries
To that place where all our ancestors wait for us
I tell you our deaths will not make the rabbis cry
But our deaths will inspire future generations".
3. Flavius Silva
"Yesterday we saw their surrender smoke signals
Today we see them slain among crackling cinders
Today we see all the dead men, women, children
There is more desolation up here than out there
Look, deep cuts in their throats look like wadis below
Their zealous butcher should have killed only himself
Sparing his followers from this gory slaughter
Their sacrifice donates another victory
Rome triumphs once more over Jewish resistance
Herodion, Machaerus, now Masada
I commemorate Masada Rock of Triumph
Because Jove himself destined Rome to rule the world
Our gods have given Rome another victory
Our gods have triumphed over their imagined God
Earthly gods triumphed over their heavenly God
Jews claim God's worldly kingdom rules over their lives
But now they know that earthly Rome rules in Judah.
Now I revel in thoughts of returning to Rome
My feet upon our tiled Roman floors, smooth and cold
My arms clasping the bathed white body of my wife
Rome glorious Rome, the nation, the world city
Rome the city, is there another one like it?
Its white marble buildings and grand avenues
Its social baths and the Forum and the Circus
Its people, its banquets, and its seaside villas
And water, water, fountains, Tiber, and ocean
Rome you vanquish this land of rocks and scorpions
This land where Jews live in an imagined kingdom
Rome glorious Rome you redeem this vast wasteland."
(Masada was prompted by the Roman siege of that Jewish fortress.)

The angry evil king commanded Perseus
Go on a dangerous mission the one on which
All previous adventurers were turned to stone
The mission of finding and decapitating
The repulsive serial killer Medusa
To drop her head in the Bay of Neapolis
Then return with the legendary unicorns.
Pitying Perseus gods on Mount Olympus
Gifted him with their special attack equipment
A magic helmet making him invisible
A mirrored bronze shield and a razor blade sickle
Two sleek aerowing sandals for flighting his will
And a leakproof backpack for carrying her head
Then sternly warned him not to look at Medusa
That his eyes must never look directly at hers
Her stare would turn him to stone as it had others
With these god-given Olympian perks Perseus
Began his mission to decapitate Medusa.
Flying to her environs and landing softly
Perseus remembering the god's stern warning
Gazed only at his shield as he stepped warily
Towards the eerie moaning coming from Quarry Lane
From the necropolis of stone statues whose low
Alien wailing wafting on wind was heard as
The requiem chorus in memoriam for
All those whose daring inquisitive gaze met hers
All those lifelike sculptures facing the cave and then
Scurrying from her post like a female spider
He saw in his shield Athena's awful revenge
Terrible mortal Gorgon monster Medusa
Her head coiffed with hissing writhing venomous snakes
Her spinescent split-ends hot permed in starburst coils
The heinous headdress topped bulging compound eyes whose
Indurating lasers beaconed brightly over
A squat neck armored with slimy snkeskin pantiles
Large arthritic hands jostled filigreed bone wings
Jerking her grotesquery from here to there while
Hideous grins exposed mastodon bucktusks as
Her serpentine tongues teased the shield to come closer
Minding his god-given perks and warily wise
Moving cautiously with great determination
Guided by her image reflected on his shield
Fearless Perseus moved in closer and closer
Then he saw her horrid head with its killer eyes
Their indurating lasers searching for his eyes
Bounced off his magic shield resounding with brazes
Her fiendish hissing fogged his shield with dirty spume
Its foul odor a nauseous putrid aerosol
Pressed him for quick action so he half-stepped closer
And then alongside her heard her lowing death moan
And tightening his grip on the sickle Perseus
Extending his muscular arm to its full length
Reared up and with a lightning backhand power swing
Cut off her horrid head which cursed as it fell and
Caught the mocking red mess in his leakproof backpack.
2.
Flighting with aerowing sandals Perseus flew
To the warm Bay of Neapolis and circling
Dropped the bloody severed head into the water
Poseidon angered at this obvious trespass
Ordered Perseus to find the bottom-dwelling
Sea slug and free it from its cumbersome giant shell
Knowing Poseidon's power Perseus agreed
Using his aerowing sandals as flippers and
Diving to the bottom of the bay he searched for
The handicapped slug pulling along its giant shell
Searching he found the sea slug and with his sickle
Parted the sea slug from its cumbersome giant shell
Then delivered the giant shell to Poseidon and
The feat performed Poseidon pardoned Perseus
Who took off on the first leg of his homeward flight
In his leak-proof backpack dozens of unicorns
Rising from Medusa's gore were the evidence
The required proof he had decapitated her.
3.
Medusa's swollen buoyant head wandered on waves
Which cleansed its cursing mouth begging for pardon
Relenting Athena metamorphosed it to
The clear jellyfish Medusa gorgonzoa
Now in the warm Bay of Naples it floats freely
From its semitransparent umbrella dome the
Clear gelatinous goo slimes down converting its
Old serpentine hair to gossamer tentacles
Treading water beckoning to passing prey to
Come and look at the perfection of its nakedness
When a curious looker draws near, comes too close
Its lassoing tentacles captures it and with
Stinging venomous capsules paralyzes the
Voyeur who dared look at her exposed nakedness
Ingesting it with much gusto and thanksgiving
Then full of others Medusa alters itself
Male becoming female becoming male sampling
Bisexual life cycles whose fickle mating
Offsprings masses of medusas in the warm bay.
4.
Also basking in the bay is the freed sea slug
Nudibranchia hermaphrodita flaunting
Its brilliant yellow supple molluscan body
Crowned with undulating scalloped border it swims
Pleasantly propelling its male/female selfness
Which in the throes of autoeroticism
Infuses self lovers with its sweet lemon scent
Outputting egg masses hatching to veiled larvae.
In the mode of its hero emancipator
A larva begins its mission to medusa
Searching with its hyped body language signalling
"I want you and need you my medusa mia"
Nearby the once horrid monster now jellyfish
Manifests itself nurturing altruist its
Writhing diaphanous tentacles inviting
The hungry larva to come feed at its table
Embraced by medusa the larva starts feeding
Eating its way up to the soft umbrella dome
Ingesting there all the intimate tender parts
Of the free gastronomic zuppa di pesce
Eating to the refrains of Tasty Medusa
Eating its way to a fully grown nudibranch
Reducing the ravished medusa to a mere
Vestigial bit of its mutualist nonself
The once heinous monster now a clitoral blip
Clings to life under the nudibranch's active mouth
Affixed demeaned medusa begs for scraps of food.
(Medusa was inspired by the symbiosis of medusas and nudibranchs in the Bay of Naples.)

Their helpless demeanor conceals conspiring hearts
Their deceit screens prolific propensities as
Parasites begging before their gullible hosts
Those do-gooders nurturing the welfare roots of
Females courted by promiscuous high birthing
The ones cashing their welfare checks for getting high
The ones selling their food stamps for more partying
Their sexing genes turned on, mothering genes turned off
Abusing benevolence, abusing children
The bad mom who birthed 8 abandoned 3 killed 1
The annually pregnant teen mom with 5 kids
The pregnant nymphet learning and working welfare
Ugly repeat offenders of their repro gifts
Infecting their egg supply with motherosis
Wayward bitches copulating on your front lawn
The known metazoan mistakes replicating.
(Motherosis was prompted by the need for preventing repeated pregnancies in incorrigibly promiscuous welfare moms.)

"Now class write a triplet or tricky triolet
Or maybe doggerel or perhaps pupperel
You should use the standard college dictionary
And rhymes from the internet are voluntary
And remember your syllables are viewables".
There before him are naive student famulae
Showing the crossed bare legs of future alumnae
Scanning the front row spies her face so glamorous
His tremulous heart throbs beating to molussus
His eyes run up her leg and rest upon her knee
He mumbles something about "my sweet chickadee"
As he sallies forth with his salacious query
His lechery stares at her parted leggery
With lust aforethought travels her two-limbed highway
Whose junction is the portal link to cached passion
In struggling to escape its foreboding death snap
His daring probes are snared by her Venus-flytrap.
The tenured predatory prof of Ph.D.
Nervously asks to peek at her student ID
Then smiles at Myria Plethora who's 18
He asks her to read the poem Velvety Queen
She reads plaintively like a soft mewling oboe
Glissando with rare polpettone tantando
Then in that classroom dim does horny prof decree
An A for her if she would raise her canopy
Then together couple out to the sunny sea
And in a daze he opens his anthology
And reads with passion Casanova's rhapsody:
"Maid of deep ancestral yearning
Maid of love with psyche burning
With tunic white and girdle bright
Come assay me this magic night".
(Poetry 101 was prompted by professors classing poetry to impressionable young women sitting in the front row).

Their visions created our national realty
They were the creators and makers of acres
They were the builders constructing our great country
They remain America's greatest presidents
Washington and Jefferson, Tyler, Polk and Pierce.
Washington the triumphant the progenitor
Of the original thirteen united states
Jefferson the gentle conqueror of lands from
The Mississippi to the majestic Rockies
From the warm calm gulf north to frigid Canada
Wise Tyler annexed the Texas territory
Victorious Polk won the southwest and the west
And Pierce obtained those imbedded tracts of land
Completing the vast mosaic from sea to sea
And let us remember that what was once known as
Seward's Folly is now called Seward's Sapience
And remember too their historic aphorism:
Small nations have no land, no people, no power
And when tyrants ravage nations the land remains.
They were the visionaries who gave us the land
The land that attracted those hopeful immigrants
The ones who built a new nation and new culture
The new culture that built a new superpower
They were creators making way for maintainers
Making way for all the maintenance presidents
Lincoln and Wilson and F.D.R. and others.
Presidents come and go, the nation’s land remains.
(Presidents was prompted by the jury nullification printed in the New York Times Magazine 15Dec96.)

It is not a bacterium or a virus
It has no DNA, cannot make RNA
Yet it is organized to replicate itself
Immersed in formaldehyde it remains alive
Centrifugated at max speed its densities
Not only remain together but reproduce
Its boiled off vapor distills as original
From absolute zero it ascends warmingly
It survives acid test pH-1 and
Also alkali test pH+11
Subjected to quark testing it survives intact
Tortured by technicians it endures in selfness.
Is it secret Asian man karmaed to oneness
Or the interface between energy and life
Or surviving universal progenitor
Or alien microbe from planet Xenotreme?
What is it, is it the what of the who of God
Or the true God of scriptures, epics, and icons
Revealed to redeem all God's faulty creations
Is it delivering us from our ignorance?

Kept after school the 8 year old boy ran full speed
To church but 10 minutes late for catechism class
Missed the Pavlovian opening exercise of
Sister Bridget's clicker-clacker, click-stand clack-sit
Click-stand clack-sit, click-stand clack-sit, click-clack
Sister Bridget summons the boy before the class
In her hand clicker-clacker that must be obeyed
Rock maple weapon clone of a large darning egg
He trembles at her approach with raised weapon and
Beady eyes burning with purgatorial fire
She confronts and rebukes him for being late then
Angrily commands him "Hold out your hands palms up"
WHACK! on his left palm and WHACK! on his right palm
WHACK! left, WHACK! right, WHACK! left, WHACK! right, WHACK! WHACK! 10 times
His knickers now wet sister Bridget yells louder
"Hands over!" SMACK! on left knuckles, SMACK! on right knuckles
SMACK! left, SMACK! rght, SMACK! left, SMACK! right
SMACK! SMACK! 10 times
She commands him to kneel and kiss her cross 10 times
From her black flat chest she offers the pendant cross
With tremulous lips he kisses her burnished cross
With silent entreaty reaches his ghostly soul
He begs for intercession by the Redeemer
But Christ remained transfixed deigning not to descend
Maybe the white-haired Irish pastor will save him
Will palliate by the act of extreme unction
His battered swollen beat-red hands throbbing in pain
But neither pastor nor Paraclete rescued him.
Having punished without mercy the boy sinner
His will now disciplined by mortification
Sister Bridget devoted bride of Jesus Christ
Sister Bridget protected by holy orders
By her protective black habit, the wimpled witch
In the ecstasy of correctomania
Her fired-up countenance now shinning upon him
Commands him to face the class and repeat ten times
The promise "I'll never be late for catechism"
Trembling he drags his penitent recitation
His penance performed she commands the absolved boy
To stand in a corner at the back of the class
Alone in cornered solitary confinement
The boy looking at a painting of Jesus Christ
Knew then Jesus Christ was only a picture show
While wasted spinster eggs exit in bloody flow
She clicks closed access to her atrophied portal.
(Sister Bridget was prompted by nuns unsuited for life under religious orders.)

The nurturing white smocks bench two petri dishes
Adding agar nutrient to each then adding
In dish 1 Candida infectious yeast spores and
In dish 2 Fung Yutu exotic Asian spores
In each dish the spores begin eating and mating
In each dish the spores colonize and move about
The colonies crawl over sides of the dishes
Now they adsorb as two water spots on the bench
They attract each other and then in combining
Become a nucleated plasmodial mass
A slime mold whose membranous arms reach out pulling
Along its amorphous common body while it
Creeps incognito as amebic pretender
Creeping over to yesterday's sweet stale bread crumbs
Enveloping the false paramecia then
Crawling to hazelnut cake bits farced with truffles
Stuffs and gorges itself with gourmand abandon
Phagospores drunk on their own asci spumante.
Mustached lips now pucker exhaling forcefully
Their vaporous steroidal aphrodisiacs
Turning on alphas and betas to mating heat
Catalyzing these sexers to chain reactions
Alphas mating with betas mating with betas
Betas mating with alphas mating with alphas
All the heteros and the homos and the bi's
Shamelessly changing sex even during mating
Alphas/betas mating with their maters/paters
Enzymes copying transposing alphas/betas
Splicing, inserting, ligating alphas/betas
The wanton group sexing of roadside wild communes
More promiscuous than Roman public orgies.
Mix-and-match offspring now migrate balling up then
Metamorphose to a mound of protoplasm
Erupting from that microbial baller is
A slug? no, a blob surrey with nipple on top
Look!
There on the cold stainless steel bench of bio lab
It's an animal! it's a plant! it's a fungus!
Growing and dividing four, eight, many more and
Now sulcate stalks impost tapered sporangia
Of super morels rising up like skyscrapers
All the white smocks now colonize for their party
All the mustached alphas and the lipsticked betas
All the nurturing white coats mixing and matching
They call out for large pizzas and red Zinfandel
They cut the super morels and slice them lengthwise
In the black wok go olive oil and chopped garlic
A pinch of red pepper flakes and the sliced morels
Simmering and leaching in primordial sauce
Mixed offspring sizzle in culinary orgy
Essenced residue is deglazed by Marsala
Then white coats feast in symposium sporific.
(Sporific was prompted by slime molds.)

From infinite energy expanded in space
From massive gas cloud infused with dust particles
Their combination addicted to gravity
Condense introverting to blazing ball of fire.
Creator sun!
Rising on the eastern rim dawn's shaded glowing
Exposes those atmos clouds that fell in the night
Grounded gently in valleys those linear mists
Wander silently waiting to rise with the sun
Heading over the horizon the sun's hot crown
Red-violet spectra misceginating white
Radiates its photons making earth visible
Energizing electrons playing their shell games
In earth's diverse self-reproducing molecules
Renewing circadian cycles whose movements
Record their evolution in all earthly things
Ape to man, abacus to microprocessor.
Maintainer sun!
In his room diffused in moving shadows the sun's
Sizzling spectrum wakes him like clashing cymbals as
He erects himself rising with the light and
Seeing a lightspot traversing his bedroom wall
Reaches out grasping a handful of photons then
Stands with reverence facing the glorious sun
Peeking briefly at its corpus imagines its
Eruptions beautifying to sinuous plumes
Blazing prominences migrating to its poles
The unknown super sizzlings of + and -
The roiling peaks and troughs of its convective moods
Broadcasting with loud bursts of radio waves the
Serial episodes of its magnetic warps
Of field lines feathered about hot albino eyes
Of mysterious dark eyes with fibrilled lashes
Of ghostly neutrinos spewed into space as earth's
Thermals ascend shimmering in the atmosphere
Designing nature's giant color wheel whose whirling
Creates with magic those diffuse hues reflected
In northern lights and in projected rainbow arcs.
Almighty sun, star burning in proton fusion
Sun of our system your energy blazing bright
Sun prime with flares erupting as geysers of light
We on this fragile planet serve because of you
We are at your mercy but still revere you and
Tremble at your enormous electromag storms
We marvel at your daily steadfast loyalty
In awe we present ourselves praising your return
You are not illusion as is our fancied God.
O sole mio fire and photons in my heart
Helios, Ra, Shamash, and Sol we worshiped you
We saw you rising on our Heel Stone horizon
Culted on the plains of Canaan we worshiped you
In priestly robes in courtyards we worshiped you
Now naked on patios postured in the bliss
Of your amniotic warmth we still worship you
Glory to you and to the thing living in you
Whatever thing lives in you also lives in us.
Destroyer sun!
In the sunset edging earth with infinity
In the sky of red sequence through alto-stratus
Sovereign sun holder of Earth's temporal lease
When at last your swollen red eye closes on us
Submitting ion by ion to heat losses
Even with your internal million year delay
Time will catalyze your self-immolation project
First consuming your decline and then your neighbors
Consuming planets Mercury, Venus, and Earth
In space recycling resurrection of matter
Condensing again to infinite energy.
(Sun was inspired by the star of our planetary system).

Only a single strand of bonded molecules
A snippet of an old empirical remnant
The stunted micro smaller than bacteria
The viral thing emulating prokaryotes
Was orphaned and precluded from evolution
Was summarily abandoned and cast aside
With only a hard protein coat protecting the
Memories of its organic past coded in
Nucleic acids packaged without nucleus
Impotent and densely packed without organelles
It became a vengeful predatory agent
A molecular chain transduced to living thing
With swelled head, torso, and folding electrode probes.
Seeking revenge the viral vector paladin
The unseen sterile replinoid in our bodies
Responds to its condition wandering about
On surface tensions of Brownian fields hunting
For a vulnerable fecund host cell and then
Attracted by a likely cell the virus courts
The naive do-gooder begging it for welfare
For a chance at self esteem in our blood's mainstream
Submitting the altruistic cell then flaunts its
Attractive opposite inviting the virus
To come upon it with affirmative action
Unfolding its electrode probes the virus tests
The cell's wall for a way in and finding entrance
The evil transporter with its killer template
Binds to the cell’s wall and with chemical embrace
Recites its homily demanding cell welfare
Free compensation for past discrimination
Then attacks with impunity the cell's membrane
Virus assaulting, penetrating, ravaging
Transfecting deadly mutations into the cell
Whose circuits are now loaded with viral surges
Brutalized the beguiled cell cries out for all its
T4 protectors to stop the blitzkrieg onslaught
But the virus’ consummated love fluids
Slowly leach from chemistry's mating ritual
From viral + and - to mutations in
Genes ejaculated in the cell sperming its
Green fertile womb with exotic nucleotides
Their soundless bonds palliating cell defenses
The chemically correct cell's lethal ingestion
Subverts its repro gifts synthesizing for the
Amensalist entrant its deadly viral parts
Graphicked as convoluted ghostly filaments
Of parasitic symbionts seeking partners
For the danse macabre whose killing routines are
Deceptively relieved by the scheduled cut-in
In the intermission of its evil intent
The invasive ravaging vector plays possum
Eclipsing the cell's fears with benign reticence
As the swelled head voyeur peeps in from the outside
While stealthily subsuming the cell's organelles
While potencies gross out for phagocytes eating.
The host cell reduced to remedial servant
Assembles hundreds of viable viruses
Filling the cell and seeking outlets the newborns
Push against its weakened membrane stretching it and
Ballooned taut past its limit the membrane ruptures
The lysed spawning cell dies and its mortal remains
Coursing in our blood wait for resurrection while
Our bodies still nurture resident viruses
Those subverters on sly missionary journeys
Those determined pilgrims meeting at exposed shrines
Carrying their placards AIDS, cancer, flu, et al
Avidly recruiting for sacrificial cells
Immune to our current drugs they are killing us
They are entrepreneurs and they are numberless.
(Virus was prompted by invasive infectious vectors destroying our bodies.)

1.
Wandering in the desert they saw the distant
Sentinel palms signaling by an oasis
Quenching their thirst they rested in pacific shade
Committed breezes caressed slender palm leaves whose
Murmuring pointed tongues delivered the message
Commanding Moshe to lead them in pilgrimage
To that place in Horeb called the Mountain of God
There to find and slaughter the wandering scapegoat.
Journeying there they espied and seized the scapegoat
They washed it and blessed it then they slaughtered it
Gathering palm, willow, and myrtle made thatches
Built an altar and placed the thatches upon it
They spread the scapegoat's entrails over the thatches
Then in his name they burned it all as holocaust
Its black smoke ascended to overcasting sky
And then giant roiling thunderheads came upon them
Rain poured upon them all the scapegoat's acquired sins
Then lightning leaders showed the way for burning bolts
Their deafening bels blasting as strident trumpets
Whose brassy blow-hard split asunder seams in rock
Crushed rock came rocking and rolling down the mountain
Their shards pelting the people as they ran away
The trembling ground quaked open engulfing the old
Swallowing slow runners and those burdened with sin
Survivors fell wailing and cursing Moshe then
Rising from the mountain peak were puffs of white smoke
Curling to a giant sky finger beckoning him
Then Moshe walked barefooted to the mountain peak.
2.
On the peak Moshe saw a large strange bush smoking
A yew bush smoking of frankincense fumigant
A yew wide as it was tall with deep green needles
A yew its stems covered by smoking white powder
By white spores of the Spiritus fumigus mold
Its spirited particulates efflorescing
In measured gusts of wind coding in smoke signals
The divine hierogram YHWH
In the aura of messaged scintillating lights
Appeared his ghostly glowing countenance lipping
With smoked eyes tearing Moshe fell trembling crying
"I dare not utter your ineffable name" then
Smoke converted to penetrating awesome voice:
"Moshe I called and am pleased at your coming but
Come no closer or you'll be consumed by my love
Look with reverence and see me in fumery
For I am the one speaking to you in smoked tongue
Now listen carefully to what I say to you
I dwelt in Syria, Egypt, and lands of -ites
I am that I am because you are that you are
I am that I was in the days when you were not
I am that I will be in days we will be one
I am invisible but the faithful see me
I created all there was and is and will be
I am in everything and I am everywhere
I am in yew for you through you all about you
I made man to worship me and my creations
I made man to worship with reverent free will
If I ask him to approach and he comes too close
I will warn him go away but if he persists
I will not show mercy and I will punish him
I tell you this, those who believe in me only
Those faithful loving me in perennial prayers
With obeisant seizures of religious fervor
They will be rewarded by resurrection and
They will wear name tags imprinted with angel and
Pass freely through gates of my heavenly kingdom
But to all those faithless ones, those empiric ones
Those living by the efforts of reason alone
Those arrogant ones claiming knowledge of my works
My miracles, my mysteries, my omnipotence
They will enter the kingdom of Atomicus Rex
Condemned to all its decaying excursions and
Moshe, in this calling I speak for your ears only
Listen for my voice, you will hear it everywhere
Look for my face, you will see it in everything
Go and tell your people what you seen and heard
But you must never return to this mountain peak".
Then a dark cloud descended on the smoking yew
And when it passed away the smoking yew was gone
In its place a welling virgin spring pooled water
And hearing his voice from the pool Moshe approached
"Lord are you calling from your miraculous pool?
Lord if you are the truly ineffable one
If the ineffable one is in everything
Then Lord I will surely see your face in this pool"
But when Moshe looked he saw only his own face.
3.
As commanded Moshe told all to his people
Who journeyed to the mountain peak to see Yahweh
They searched for the large white smoking perfuming yew
They searched the entire peak but did not find it so
They fired a yew hoping for Yahweh's fumery
But it burned to ashes without revelation
They fired another yew still Yahweh did not show
So they place a bleating lamb upon a large yew
Then the rabbi said "Let's cover the lamb's head with
Tallits so we may speak directly with Yahweh"
With expectation they fired it as holocaust
White smoke converted to billowing dense black smoke
They waited but did not see Yahweh in the smoke
Faithful that Yahweh would speak to him from within
The rabbi cut out the lamb's smoked tongue and ate it
Then a low dark cloud came upon the mountain peak
Frightened they prayed and when they saw the sun again
The holocaust ashed without Yahweh's fumery
And the rabbi lay dead choked on the smoked tongue
At the rabbi's side they heard the smoked tongue talking
"Who are you to demand Yahweh's second coming?
You cannot replicate his wondrous fumery
You cannot ransom his pure smoke with holocausts
Your evil is in the darkness of your black smoke
That black smoke mocks his divine discrimination
He reveals himself only to those whom he calls
He has already spoken do not tempt his wrath"
Repenting wailing they beat their unworthy breasts
Then descending they gathered on the plain of despair
Then one called Boj declaimed the people's depression:
"Yahweh you made too dark the cloud over the yew
That dark cloud obscured your heavenly electrum
We did not see your divine countenance lipping
We did not hear the commandments of your smoked tongue
We did not see the Flying Cherubim Brothers
You make us to unload our sins in sacrifices
Unloading our sins on the wings of white chickens
Women unloading on hens, men unloading on cocks
In penitential ritual we seize chickens
And raising them over our heads whirl them about
In heavenly orbit expiating our sins
We slash their throats and give them to the begging poor
The poor eat them and now they are full of our sins
And in your name we are forbidden to eat pork
Because Satan's horns are disguised in pig's cleft feet
It is sinful to eat beef sciatic muscle
Because your angel struck Jacob there while wrestling
Yahweh we follow you doing as you command
Why then do you not respond to our suffering"?
4.
You gave us reverent locked will to control our lives
For your namesake you lead us to donation camps
To religious myths corrading our common sense
Yet we obeyed and followed you with our blind faith
You rescued us from Egypt and Babylon but
When our ancestors called you did not appear and
When we called with the shofar crying for your help
We waited like exposed ripe fruit on bent branches
You did not come and we softened and fell rotted
To the ground of Germany, Poland, and Russia
But uncalled you come and go like a culprit wind
In your name we offered children for holocausts
Today we offer infants to AIDS, drugs, dumpsters.
If the name is Abram it becomes Abraham
If the name is Sarai that name becomes Sarah
If the name is Nabal that name becomes a fool
If the name if Horeb that name becomes Sinai
If it is Sinai it becomes Mountain of God
If the name is ineffable that name becomes
Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim, Adonai, Lord God.
5.
We see Yahweh dwelling in the land of Yahoo
Also in the nucleus of Samarium
In the wonder and glory of physical bonds
Becoming matterals of + 0 -
Look Yahweh!
Here are the codons that make amino acids
Their serpentine aminory folds to proteins
Making cells dividing to make me, to make you
Yahweh! Yahweh! come out from wherever you are.
(Yahweh was inspired by Biblical myths.)

In its zoo habitat of masonry and steel
The once magnificent ruler of grassy plains
Was hunted and captured for caged exhibition
In the Roman Colosseum then in Versailles
And now in city zoos pro bono publico
Confined there without its pride as slave in a cage
Wasting away in caged clinical depression
Pacing round and round and nosing against steel bars
Pacing relentlessly in subdued mania
Then retreats and collapses in a dark corner
Solitary on the cold slab of stained concrete
The amorphous refuse thrown away by humans
Surrenders closing its eyes dreaming of past life
Magnificent male with a lustrous tawny coat
The awesome beauty of majestic demeanor
With face confirmed by full leonine prominence
The vanguard of its great head teased with a soft ruff
Powerful shoulders thickly shawled with rough dark mane.
In the savanna on singular safari
Moving deliberately scheming and stalking
Hiding its massive body in tall tawny grass
Waiting patiently for ant prey its next meal
Will it be a wildebeest or a blithe gazelle?
Will it have to parse out illusory black stripes
Of a roiling zebra herd fleeing in panic?
Suddenly the adrenal rush of hot pursuit
Chasing this way and that way leaping and reaching
Seizing with imposing paws and pincerlike claws
Bringing down its prey in an explosion of dust
Its huge crushing jaws strangling the captured prey
With its colossal canines tearing it apart
Feasting on fresh kill and sampling its hot nectar
Full of red meat it leaves the half-eaten carcass
Stepping with the sure gait of prideful king of beasts
Roaming the vast hot convecting African plain
Searching for the thornbush or acacia tree shade
Dozing there in solitude dreaming of its pride
Attacking and repelling intrusive strange males
Guarding its bush bordello of tawny females
Pacifying those brazen females in estrus
Servicing the sisterhood harem with its genes
But here in a cage is the end of self esteem
No longer to hide and hunt and service a pride
Or claim its territory in a savanna
Never again to roam with nomadic freedom.
At feeding time lookers compress against the cage
The once magnificent male now a corner mat
Rises slowly on forelegs then on its haunches
Its once lustrous full tawny coat is now mangy
Its once powerful body now atrophied crawls
The zoo keeper throws it large chunks of raw red meat
As the zoo lion gulps down each chunk the lookers
Cheer like a yapping pack of mocking hyenas
Taunting the zoo lion once king of jungle beasts
Suddenly the zoo lion turns towards the lookers
Pressing its leonine mass against the bars of steel
Oohing and aahing lookers admire its nearness
And then its fearsome roar spumes them with hot disdain
The zoo lion reduced to a panting carcass
Limps in pain to its solitary dark corner
Flops down and with expiration closes its eyes.
Leo in the starful night
Lion with its prideful might
Dozing in acacia tree
Dreaming of aggressive she
Mangy lion in a zoo
Corner carcass just for you.
(Zoo Lion was prompted by a mangy male lion in the Bronx Zoo about 1960. With its gigantic head pressed against cage bars, its unexpected indignant roar showered clouds of spume upon nearby lookers.)
